On Your Marks - Deep dive into the Bible

Lewis spent 23 years in and out of prison. A tough start in life resulted in a life of crime. He shared his story in church during National Prisons week; it is a story of transformation and the power of the love of God.
For this week's episode, I wanted to share his testimony with you.

Following our all-age service, Ray and I discuss Matthew 9 35-end which is all about workers for the harvest and the 'Gospel of the kingdom'. An interesting challenge on how we view the 'kingdom' that Jesus proclaims.

Ray and I discuss the final chapter in the book of Titus. As quite often happens, the discussion takes a completely different trajectory that the Sunday service. This one, focusing on how we should relate to society in light of how God's grace has justified us.

Continuing our study of the book of Titus, Ray and I discuss Titus Chapter 2: The call on households to hold firm to sound teaching and to live out their faith in the public square. A challenge to anyone who likes to keep their faith a secret!

Following our summer break, Ray and I sit down to discuss Titus Chapter 1. A fascinating letter, punchy and direct. The focus Ray takes in on different areas of church leadership as well as the challenge for everyone to humbly follow God's call in our lives.

A short message from Peter before Ray and he are taking break for the summer.

Having missed last week, we are finishing our series on Galatians by talking about the biblical idea of 'continuing to be filled with the spirit'. We share a few stories and bring in a few other bible verses to support this idea

Have you ever wondered if the law of the Old Testament is still relevant to Christians today? Ray and I discuss this topic looking at Galatians ch 3 vs 15-29

Ray and I discuss Galatians ch 2 vs 11-21 and he unpacks what it means to be 'in christ'.

Ray and I discuss Romans ch 5 vs 1-5 with a particular focus on what it means to be justified by faith and what it means to be righteous before God.
